I'm pretty sure there's at least one book I've read with a basketball player as the main hero. I'm not entirely certain, but I think it was one of the T.A. Chase 'Love of Sport' series. Twin brothers, one an actor, the other a pro basketball player, both gay... the actor ends up with a Nascar driver and the basketball player with a club owner... I liked his tattoos before his whole arms were covered. I'm a huge baseball fan so I do know some books with a baseball player as the hero. Kate Angell writes a few different sports heroes. Jill Shalvis and Joanne Rock both have written baseball ones. I've read ones about hockey players, boxers, football players, and I have one in my TBR pile with a polo player as the hero.
